Prodigal
Am I the son of a prodigal son?
Am I a prodigal son?
I think I am three different sons.
For I am most obedient one
And hopefully still these prodigal ones.
Come be with me my other halves
And we will kill the fatted calf
And love and live and feast on life
And be united for all time.
The table's set for all of us
A feast enough for least the five
Of Fathers mine
and three of me.
To laugh to sing to be
To never part and never lose
The good things in us all.
And lavish lush exuberant we
Will march to time eternity
Profuse in verse and harmony.
Just as my Fathers came to see
The worth of man's duplicity
We too shall be... what we can be.
